Our Programs

Beth El Nursery School is a reform Jewish Preschool open to all children between the ages of two and five. We celebrate diversity and we do not discriminate in our enrollment policies or in any other practices on the basis of race, color, religion, sexual orientation, national origin or ancestry.

At BENS, we provide an ideal child to teacher ratio in each classroom.

Daily Schedule
Our core program beings at 9:00 am and ends each day at 1:00 pm. Extended care is available in the afternoon from 1:00-3:30 or 5:30 pm.

Core Program: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Teachers greet and welcome each child to begin the day. The children participate in a variety of activities both inside and outside of the classroom. Each day, the outdoor classroom is set up with developmentally appropriate activities in our art studio, mud kitchen and loose parts block area. Jewish curriculum is an integral part of our program and woven into the children’s daily experience through conversation, provocations and holiday celebrations.

Extended Day Programs: 1:00 – 3:30 pm; 1:00 – 5:30 pm
Our early afternoon program (1:00 – 3:30 pm) provides a restful time for the children. The children are grouped based on whether or not they nap.  For non-nappers, quiet activities, such as books, art and other table top activities are provided. This restful time is followed by outdoor activities and an afternoon snack.

Our Gan Shemesh program extends after the 3:30 pm pick up. Children from each age group come together to enjoy the outdoor classroom, special art and cooking projects and a late-afternoon tea time snack.
